Upfit Technician
Join City Rent A Truck as an Upfit Technician and play a hands-on role in installing custom upfits on new rental trucks. This full-time position gives you the opportunity to work with cutting-edge vehicles while honing your skills in a fast-paced, growth-driven environment. We’re looking for team members who are adaptable, detail-oriented, and ready to take on a challenge.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install upfits on new trucks, including flatbeds, dump bodies, service bodies, toolboxes, ladder racks, and more
• Safely connect mechanical and electrical components, such as fuel pumps and safety lighting
• Meet installation deadlines while ensuring all work is completed to quality standards
• Perform vehicle inspections and document work orders using a mobile app
• Assist with metal fabrication tasks, including welding, cutting, and drilling
Requirements:
• Valid driver’s license with a good record
• Ability to use various hand and power tools
• Able to lift 50 lbs. and work both indoors and outdoors
• Strong team player with the ability to work under pressure
Pay: Competitive hourly compensation range
Benefits: 401(k) match (100% match up to 4% of salary), health, dental, life, and vision insurance, HSA, paid time off, time and a half for overtime hours
Schedule: Full-time, Monday to Friday.
