Does City Rent A Truck offer insurance to cover the rental vehicle?
Yes. If the renter has Liability insurance we are able to upgrade to Comp./Coll. if the vehicles GVWR is 10,000 or less. Cost is $20/day.
What happens if my truck breaks down?
Roadside assistance is available on qualifying vehicles.
Is there anything special I need to know before driving a truck?
Specific instructions will be provided on each vehicle if required.
Do I need a Commercial Driver’s License to drive your bigger trucks?
No. All of our vehicles are registered 26,000 GVWR or below.
How old do I need to be to rent a vehicle from City Rent A Truck?
Light duty trucks and vans; minimum age 21 years.
Medium to Heavy Duty; minimum age 25 years.
Medium to Heavy Duty; minimum age 25 years.
May someone else drive a truck that I rent?
Additional drivers can be added at no charge. Immediate family and company employees are automatically allowed.
Is a credit card needed to hold my reservation?
Only when the demand far exceeds supply. Most of the time a card isn’t required to hold a vehicle.
What kind of deposit is required when I pick up my truck?
Credit or Debit card authorization only. Your card will be charged upon return. However, special circumstances might require a deposit.
Do you rent trucks by the hour?
No. Minimum charge is 1 day.
Do you charge by calendar days or 24 hour days?
24 hour days. In most cases this will save the customer a whole day’s rental.
What is your cancellation policy?
We prefer to receive cancelations no later than 24-48 hours prior. No penalties or fees will be applied unless disclosed prior to reservation. This would be the case during seasonal periods of high demand and low supply.
Do late-return fees apply?
No. We allow a 2-3 hour grace period without penalty. However, anything beyond will be charged an additional day.
What is your fuel policy?
Customer will be charged for fuel if not replaced. The fee is between .50-$1.00/gallon over market rate.
What should I do if I'm involved in an accident?

Please notify City Rent A Truck of your request and in most cases we will extend the agreement.
