Do you rent to just businesses or do you also rent to individuals?
City Rent A Truck rents exclusively to businesses and organizations. All rentals require a commercial insurance policy. Individuals are still welcome to purchase used vehicles from our inventory. If you are looking for a personal-use truck rental, we recommend Enterprise Truck Rental. For passenger van rentals, we recommend Masters Transportation.
What are the requirements to rent a vehicle or trailer?
A commercial insurance policy, valid driver's license, and approved payment method are required. Additional requirements may apply depending on the vehicle, trailer, and rental term.
What rental terms do you offer?
City Rent A Truck offers weekly, monthly, and long-term rental options, with rental terms available from one week up to two years. Whether you need a vehicle for a short-term project, seasonal demand, or an extended fleet solution, we can tailor a rental program to fit your needs.
Do you offer nationwide delivery?
Yes. We offer nationwide delivery on monthly rentals. We can deliver vehicles to your jobsite and pick them up when you are done.
Do you allow towing with your vehicles?
Yes, it's our specialty. We offer conventional and gooseneck towing on applicable vehicles at no additional charge.
Do you offer upfits on your vehicles?
Yes, we offer in house custom upfitting on all of our rental vehicles. We can also provide our upfit services directly to customers seeking modifications on their own fleet.
Can I purchase one of your vehicles?
Yes. We sell both new and used fleet vehicles. Customers can purchase vehicles outright or through our Rental Purchase Option (RPO) program.
What is a Rental Purchase Option (RPO)?
A Rental Purchase Option (RPO) allows customers to rent a vehicle while building equity toward a future purchase. If you decide to purchase the vehicle, a portion of your rental payments can be applied toward the purchase price. Contact a representative for program details and available vehicles.
Do I need a commercial driver's license (CDL) to operate your vehicles?
If the vehicle you are renting is 26,000 lbs GVWR or below, a CDL is not required. Vehicles over 26,000 lbs GVWR require a CDL. Check the specifications of the vehicle you are renting or contact a representative for assistance.
Do you allow for off-road use?
Yes. Our trucks are designed for construction sites, utility work, energy projects, and other off-road jobsite applications.
